Nest Cam 可錄 1080p 全高清影像，備300萬像素傳感器，可視角度寬於 130 度，猶如魚眼鏡般讓你看得更多。另有晚間夜視功能，適合日與夜或是任何位置。夜視功能是以8個紅外線 LED 拍攝畫面，隨時監控家中小孩或寵物。

錄影及監察過程
1) Nest Cam 配備自家「Nest app」，能支援 iOs 8 及 Android 4.0 手機，或到 nest.com/home 均可控制您的 Nest Cam。
2) 備有「Zoom in」功能，能放大 8 倍數碼影像。
3) 更有 Mic 和揚聲器，可以監控畫面外，亦能與遠方的空間作對話。
4) 可分享即時影像。
5) 設置每天錄影的時間。
6) 可透過 Wi-Fi 升級軟件

Nest Cam 新功能 ( 官方網站表示每部機均能享有 30 天免費試用 )
a) Nest app 內設有影像歷史，可查閱過往 10~30 天的紀錄，外出工幹也不怕了！
b) 設置活動區域，可預先選擇某個區域為重點監視位置，如門口或單車區，若該位置內的東西被移動，Nest app 便會啓動響鬧通知告訴您。
c) 剪輯功能，可剪輯影片頭尾位置，再分享至 e-mail、Facebook 或是 Twitter，更多上載到 YouTube 頻道。
d) 定時拍攝，可設置 30, 60 或 120 秒的小電影。
